We are delighted to see one of our customers, Bradley, feature in the New Zealand Herald in an article about the upcoming Attitude Awards 2021.

Southland entrepreneur Bradley, who received a Manawanui Fund For Good 2020 award has now gone on to be recognised by The Attitude Trust and is a finalist for the Enterprise Award category.

Running his own business, Bradley’s K9 Munchies, making dog treats, Bradley sells his products online and locally in Invercargill.  His sights are set on expanding the brand nationally to continue the journey to his own financial freedom and to providing employment opportunities for other people with disabilities.

The Enterprise Award is the category within the Attitude Awards which celebrates employees or entrepreneurs with a disability, who are helping to shaped a positive view of disabled people in the workforce.

In our opinion, Bradley is not only doing this, he’s doing so much more by giving back to his to community – for every pack of dog treats sold, he gives back financially to support causes in his community.

The Attitude Trust champions the integration of people with disabilities into every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life and has held the prestigious Attitude Awards annually since 2008, celebrating the accomplishments of Kiwis living with, or supporting those with, disabilities.

Bradley and his whanau and supporters have achieved so much already - the whole team is an inspiration to so many others and Manawanui is delighted to have played a small part in helping to give Bradley’s start up business a boost with some Fund for Good money. As a social enterprise which champions self-direction, we know that Bradley embodies the spirit of Manawanui and the Attitude Awards and we wish him every success and happiness with his business venture.

The Attitude Awards 2021 ceremony will take place virtually and be screen on TVNZ1 at 4pm on Saturday, December 18.
